What Do You Do With Your Handmade Cards?

Hi

I don't know about you but I have a very large box full of handmade cards for every occasion under the sun that will last me to the end of time!!! I find myself giving cards to anyone and everybody just to use them up. They are also getting very expensive to post!

I enjoy making them and don't want to stop but I haven't sold any in a very long time as everyone now makes their own and even giving them to charity shops isn't working as they seem to be bursting at the seams with handmade creations.

MILTON & SUNFLOWER BIRTHDAY CARD

Hope your all having a lovely day and its not too wet where you are, we've had rain most of the day!!!
Today I've added my blog to my Do Crafts page in the hope that I'll get some more followers, not sure if this will work but if anyone reads this and can give me some tips I'd be very grateful!
I've thought about doing some of the card challenges but again not very sure on how to enter and link back to my blog.
How do you link back to your picture?
How do you add candy giveaways on to your side bar?
How do you add a link to the website you are entering?
If anyone can help please leave me some clues in my comments box.

Any way enough of me moaning on and onto the card for today which was made for my daughter to give to her friend at work.

WELLINGTON BIRTHDAY CARD

Tonight I finally managed to get a card made! I have 3 male cards to make for next week so I must admit that I have broken my pledge about not buying any crafting goodies as I have bought the new Wellington Bear decoupage sheets and 6" x 6" paper pack. Naughty, naughty me but they were so cute and just what I needed for these mens cards!

I only used the topper from the decoupage sheet and have kept the decoupage so that I can make another card.

I used the following items

MY NEW SHOES

Sorry I haven't done a craft blog today, I spent my evening filling in online forms for my daughter's college funding etc. You think it will only a few minutes but before you know it its bedtime!
So I thought I'd tell you about my new shoes I bought from Hotter. Unlike the card from last night my ones are flat and sensible but they are the comfiest pair I have ever bought and well worth every penny spent. I wore them on Saturday walking around town with my daughter for 5 hours, normally I'm hobbling after an hour due to suffering from ingrown toenails but managed to go the whole day without a squeal or moan which believe me is a first!
I did start this post before midnight having my bednight cuppa in bed watching Ideal World's pick of the day show at 11pm but as I said earlier everything seems to take me much longer than I think it will, could it just be that I'm getting slower!!!

New Shoes Birthday Card

Well its been another sunny, rainy day again here in Aberdeen, I'll soon be swimming to work if we have much more!!!
Last night I weighted myself and got a shock to say the least when I stepped on the scales so I have just finished doing 10k on the exercise bike and intend doing some form of exercise daily from now to our holiday, if I don't then all the new clothes I have bought for holiday won't fit and hubby WILL NOT be pleased!

Tonight I am showing another card that I made a while back as I was late home from work after going 3 rounds with the fax machine (and it won) so I haven't had time to do any crafting but really want to try and keep blogging:(

RACING CAR BIRTHDAY CARD

Sorry I've not blogged for a few weeks, I've been so busy at work and tired by the time I get home I haven't done much crafting at all. We are still getting plenty rain up here in Scotland and its very cold for May. Yesterday it was sunny and today its very windy and dull!
The card I'm showing today was made a while back for a teenage boys birthday. I had bought a shaped card download from "Crafts U Print" but my printer didn't print the whole design so I printed it a couple of times and used it to decoupage the design.

Basque Set Card Toppers

I had such a busy weekend I didn't get time for much crafting or blog hopping but did manage to make these toppers from the box of die cuts. I will get around to making them into cards sometime hopefully! Sorry if the photo isn't very clear but the weather here is terrible, one minute its sunny the next its pouring down & then sunny again, don't know which jacket to wear to work!!!

Lingerie Card Topper

Well its been another day of rain & not very warm either. Just saw the weather forecast and it looks like its going to be raining into next week, will soon be swimming to work at this rate!

Today I have made another topper from my die cuts which match the basque topper I used the other day, will get them made into cards later on.

Hope the weather is better where you are? We have had rain, mist & hail today and its not very warm either, never mind these are the joys of spring!

Basque Card Topper

Well its back to work for me today after 2 weeks holidays which have passed so quickly:( I think I have spent most of my holidays trying to find space for all my crafty bits & bobs! The weather has been pants here, we've had sun, rain & snow in the last 2 weeks, roll on summer holidays!!!
I'll post some photos later on of my craft spaces. I love looking at other people's blogs on their craft rooms and storage ideas.

Shoes & Handbag Die Cut Toppers

I spent this afternoon sorting through my very large box of die cuts and made these shoes and handbags up ready to use on some card projects later on.

These are made from the following Sizzix Sizzlits dies sets.
Hat Set.
Handbag Set.
Shoes Set.
Daisy Flower Punches in 2 sizes.
Black stick on gems for shoes & flowers.
Silver stick on gem for handbag
Black velvet ribbon for the hat trim.

Hello and welcome to The Crafty Cubbyhole under the Stairs. I've started this blog to encourage me to start using all the crafty items I have bought over the years and have ran out of space to store!!! I never seem to have the time to craft as I'm always trying to make space for the new items I've bought which I didn't need to be honest, its even got to the stage that I've bought items I already have but forgot I had them, I'm sure many of you can relate to having done this! So my PLEDGE from today is to start using up my crafty stash and not to buy anymore if possible. I'll post photos of finished projects on here to try and help me stick to my pledge.
